2024

ThoMar receives the first CO2 report from Global Climate. The report is based on the data and consumption of 2022 and was prepared in 2023. The result:
- In terms of direct emissions (Scope 1), around 15 tonnes of CO2 remain for heating with liquid gas and petrol for the hybrid company vehicles.
- We have already achieved the target for indirect emissions in the form of purchased energy (Scope 2), where ThoMar OHG is climate-neutral and does not cause any greenhouse gas emissions.
- Indirect emissions that are not directly controlled by the company in Scope 3 contain the largest share of greenhouse gases at around 6,800 tonnes of CO2, which are largely attributable to the production of packaging materials and the transport of raw materials and finished products.
The result confirms the measures we have taken in recent years to act more sustainably and is also the basis for the next steps towards CO2 neutrality.
